Things to carry while you travel – General checklist (Domestic travel)

Packing mishaps can range from inconvenient (going to Himalayas without winter wear) to disastrous (discovering that you left your wallet at home), but are preventable. We’ve, out of our travel experience, created an ultimate traveler check list for travel purchase & packing.

Inviting your kind attention to this checklist, so that you & us do not have inconveniences ahead..!

Mandatory checklist for every travel

  1. Travel documents: Carry on a soft or hard copy of your travel documents, such as, Onward and return travel ticket copies, Permit copies (for applicable places only)
  2. ORIGINAL IDENTITY CARD.

It is always a wise decision to keep a photocopy of your ID card with address in all your bags and wallet. If in case, you miss yours, it helps identify your luggage claim.

  1. Mobile phones
  2. Chargers
  3. Debit or Credit cards
  4. Cash, as required
  5. Regular medicines (Keep sufficient in stock for +5 days than your itinerary)
  6. Emergency contact number list as hardcopy, to use if you loose your mobiles
  7. If you plan to work during your travel, laptop & accessories
  8. Toiletries (We suggest to carry travel size. In flight hand luggage 100 ml limit)

Tooth paste, Tooth brush, Tongue cleaner, Mouth wash (if needed), Soap/ Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioners, Moisturizers & Lip balm (mandatory if you are traveling to cold or hot weather destinations), Hair comb/brush, Sunscreen, menstrual products (for women) & your routine make up/skin care/grooming products.

  1. Bath towel
  2. Tissues, Hand sanitizers etc for personal care & hygiene
  3. Spectacles & Sunglasses (if needed)
  4. Your Insurance card or details as soft copy
  5. Promoting sustainable tourism, we recommend you to carry an empty water bottle so that you can refill and use fresh/boiled waters from wherever accessible
  6. Dry snacks

We always recommend you to carry on some snacks like dry fruits or chocolates or lite snacks, especially if you are diabetic to cater your hunger and health as traveling may or may not get you good food during your routine timing.

  1. House keys, to return home
  2. Clothing

Sufficient number of clothes as your itinerary. Choose clothing based on weather and destination. For summers, travelling with lite clothing and for winters, do not forget to carry winter wears. For destinations with trek/activities, do not forget to pack your active wears. For relaxed night, night wears.

  1. Shoes/Slippers

Pack your leg wear suiting the itinerary. For activities/winter/trek areas, shoes mandatory. Summers & beach destination, please do not forget to carry your slippers.

  1. For men, if you are not carrying your backpack/handbag, a travel friendly sling/bag to carry your necessities like phones, headphones/earplugs, wallet, cards etc.
  2. If you are interested in consuming alcohol or cigarettes, we suggest you to check their availability at your destinations. If you prefer your favorite brands, which may not be available at your destinations, kindly find below the beverages policies by DGCA, India for domestic flights.

Passengers may carry up to 5 Liters of alcoholic beverages as part of their checked-in baggage, provided the following conditions are met:

  1. The alcoholic beverage is in retail packaging (sealed) and is packed appropriately (to prevent damage / leakage).
  2. Alcohol content in the beverage is not more than 70%.

If the alcoholic beverage contains 24% or less alcohol by volume the above limitation of 5 Liters does not apply.

The alcoholic beverages is also permitted in carry-on (hand) baggage when purchased from the Airport Security Hold Area and should be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a maximum capacity not exceeding 1 Liter. The indicative size of the 1 Liter bag is: 20.5 cm x 20.5 cm or 25 cm x 15 cm or equivalent. The containers must fit comfortably within the bag, which should be fully closed.

The passengers must comply with other applicable state / national regulations, if any.
